What Happens at Preschool?

At Sun Valley we provide opportunities for children to develop:

• social skills
• self esteem
• self confidence
• independence
• co-ordination and fine motor skills
• school readiness skills
• expressive and receptive language skills
• creativity and imagination
• concentration and persistence
• problem solving skills

 

Programs Offered

Parents have a choice of attendance petterns according to the age of the child and availability.
Children attend between 9.00am and 3.00pm.

4 Year Old Program - 2 days per week, either

• Monday and Tuesday, or
• Thursday and Friday.

3 Year Old Program - 1 day per week

• Wednesday only.

 

How do we Enrol?

Children's names may be placed on the Sun Valley Waiting List from the age of 2 years. However, children must be 3 years of age and fully toilet-trained before they are able to begin at the Centre.

Parents are generally notified of vacancies in September and an Enrolment and Information Session is held early in Term 4 for families of children beginning preschool the following year.
